My cousin is working on our family history, researching our family tree. He has been able to trace back all the way to 1776! It really is amazing! And, since I am a passionate scrapbooker, I can't wait to put it all together in an album. This is a photograph of my great, great grandparents taken some time around 1898. The photo is in amazingly good condition compared to some of the other ones we came across last night. I really love this photo!

February 22nd Photo - Winter
I have to thank my friend Donna over on the Island, who's also participating in Project 365, for teaching me how to Vingette my photos. I love this technique! Today's photo is of the girls skiing up at Grouse Mountain.

February 21st Photo - Cookery
We have great neighbours! For the past several years, our neighbours have always shared a BBQ with us. This is our second BBQ that we have purchased together. We BBQ a lot! lol Today's picture is of Hubby and Joe building our latest purchase which, no doubt, will get lots of use in the months ahead! This is serious business. Can't you tell by the look on hubby's face?! lol

February 15th Photo - Multiples
Ok, time to catch up. I've been taking my photos, just haven't had time to post. So here's the last four days of photos.
On Saturday, February 14th, I prepped for Sunday's crop with the Scrapaholics. I planned to complete my friend's wedding thank you cards but it took me longer than I thought and ended up spending Sunday night and part of Monday evening completing them. I'm happy with how they turned out and think Debbie will be too.

February 14th Photo - Valentine's Day (Red)
February 13th Photo - Reading Material
It's time for me to re-new my First Aid training for my job. I will be spending the entire day on Tuesday bandaging and splinting volunteers and performing CPR on "Annie", the notorious 50 pound torso doll. lol I'm required to re-new my First Aid training every two years as I'm the designated WCB First Aid attendent on our site. It always amazes me how fast two years goes by! It feels like I just took the exam 6 months ago! It's not something I look forward to, but this year should be a little more barable as they have recruited firefighters to teach the course instead of us having to go to St. Johns Ambulance training facilities. Wooooo Hooooo!! I think I'll be putting my hand up a few more times this year to volunteer! lol

Emily and I went for a drive through Stanley Park today and saw this beautiful swan gracefully gliding through Lost Lagoon. If you'd like to see some more photos of our trip, visit my other blog here.

February 3rd Photo - Like Mother, Like Daughter
Every once in a while, Emily, on her own terms of course, decides to get a little creative. Today after school she felt like making a card because I guess she was inspired watching me prep some of my girlfriend's wedding thank you cards. Is my stash of supplies at risk now??? lol Here's what she came up with.

February 2nd Photo - My Aching Back! (Closely Cropped)
It hurts to sit! It hurts to walk! It hurts to stand! The only way I can get comfortable the past couple days is to lay down on my side and everyone knows it's very difficult to accomplish anything while lying down! Argh! I just want it to stop hurting so I can get back to the gym and lose this tummy that I just know is a major contributing factor!
