August 31st Photo - Back to Work & My Essentials

It was back to work for me today after a long summer vacation. I get to use my new funky Elle lunch bag my friend and assistant Cecilia from my old job bought for me as a parting gift. I love it! It'll be good to get back into some routines again. I had a fabulous summer holiday and look forward now to starting my new job.

August 30th Photo - New Colouring Pencils

Michaels had a 45% off sale on Artist Colouring Mediums and I just had to pick up a new box of Prisma oil colouring pencils to play with :)

August 29th Photo - Amusement Park

We spent the entire day from 11:30 am to almost midnight at the PNE today. The kids really had a great time on the rides! My feet were killing me when we got home as I'm sure you can imagine!

I went out for lunch today with my friend Avril who I hadn't seen for a long time and as I was waiting at the bar for her to arrive, this little flower caught my eye. Simple but I liked the way the restaurant had put the little pebbles in the bottom of the vase. I thought it would make a great photo of the day.

Here's the girls hard at work wrapping goodie bags for our 3rd Annual Scrap-a-versary Crop coming up in September. It's going to be a great time with a catered lunch, goodie bags and door prizes!

August 25th Photo - Daddy Longleg

These creepy little bugs have always given me the willies! Emily insisted I watched as she held one of it's long legs until it flew away leaving his little leg behind. Fortunately it didn't detach and she ended up letting go but she insists that if she held on to it, the leg would come off and continue to wiggle! Ick!! Where do kids learn these things???

This cute little Ideas note book was given to me as a RAK (Random Act of Kindness) by my scrappin buddy Hayley. I keep it beside my computer on my printer. I love it! Thanks girlfriend!

August 17th Photo - ABC Album Now Complete

I completed my ABCs of Granville Island album today. Here's the cover page. If you'd like to see more of the whole album you can check it out here. I'm really happy with how this turned out. We had a great day on our photo field trip and now I want to do another one!

August 15th Photo - 1000X the Size

These clear jelly like balls were once just a little bigger than a grain of salt if you can believe it! Emily picked them up today at the flea market and put them in a bowl of water and about 5 hours later they are the size of blueberries! I'm curious how big they will be tomorrow!

We had my folks over for dinner tonight and hubby made a delicious summer dinner with some fresh produce from the farmers market. Here's a photo of the beautiful heirloom tomato with buffalo mozzerella, fresh basil, olive oil and balsamic vinegar salad. It was soooo yummy!

A few years ago, when hubby and I took a drive through Victoria, on Vancouver Island, we came across this house and I had to make him stop so I could take a picture of it. To me, this is my dream home. I just love everything about it! Today's photo is a photograph of a photograph. The colour isn't as pretty as the original unfortunately. The yellow, is a very soft yet rich yellow. Donna, you might have seen this home in your travels, if so, please let me know.
